BT revenue falls 2% in first quarter, as earnings rise after cutting costs

(Telecompaper) BT Group reported revenue of GBP 5.71 billion for the fiscal first quarter to 30 June, with underlying revenue down 2 percent as growth in the consumer business was offset by declines in the enterprise businesses and regulated price reductions for its wholesale arm Openreach.

Vodafone maintains outlook as service revenue growth slows in Q1

(Telecompaper) Vodafone Group reported a small slowdown in underlying revenue growth in its fiscal first quarter to June, but said it's on track with its cost savings efforts and full-year outlook. Total revenues dropped 4.9 percent to EUR 10.91 billion, hurt by the new accounting rules and negative currency effects. Organic service revenue was up 1.1 percent, or grew 0.3 percent based on the old accounting standards.

Verizon upgrades revenue growth outlook as mobile business improves in Q2

(Telecompaper) Verizon upgraded its outlook for full-year revenue growth after reporting improving trends at its mobile business in Q2. The US operator now expects a low-to-mid single-digit percentage increase in revenues this year, driven by better-than-expected equipment sales, compared to a previous forecast for low single-digit growth.

Vodacom Group revenue up 4.2% in June quarter, adds 2.5 mln customers

(Telecompaper) Vodacom Group reported revenue for its fiscal first quarter ended 30 June up 4.2 percent to ZAR 21.55 billion. Service revenue also increased by 4.2 percent, to ZAR 17.81 billion, and was up 5.2 percent excluding currency effects.
