PayloadInstruments Electrical Engineer 1611100 Job Description We are looking for a PayloadInstruments Electrical Engineer for our client ESTEC. You will be part of the Payload Technology Validation Section in the Future Mission team, which is in charge of specific mission oriented validation activities for science missions, aiming at reducing the development risks in the implementation phase. The section also provides general support to the other directorate entities for specific validation activities. Providing electrical and electronic design, manufacturing, assembly and testing support for all validation activities. Providing general support for the maintenance and development of the office test facilities Support in the design using mentorgraphics, manufacturing e.g using rapid prototyping PCB machines, component soldering, cable assembly and commissioning of analogue and digital circuitry for control and acquisition test systems of optical sensors CCD..., ASICs or larger laboratory equipment e.g thermal control loop, vacuum systems... Digital system programming PLC, controllers, FPGA... experience for control and automation of test equipment. Design small mechanical parts in support of the electronic assembly using standard software tools e.g Autocad... Cryo systems operation as well as cleanroom best practices experience are required. Required Skills and Experience A technical degree Associate degree, BSc diploma or equivalent in electronic and electrical technologies from a recognized institution or equivalent with at least 10 years relevant experience in the field. Flexible and able to work autonomously on multiple tasks in support to the rest of the team. Aurora is an established supplier of skilled manpower to ESA and in particular at ESTEC and ESAC. Aurora has the opportunity to expand our support to ESA. Overview The work will be performed onsite at ESTEC within the Directorate of the Science SCI. The service is expected to deliver support to the Payload Technology Validation Section in the Future Mission Office which is in charge of specific mission oriented validation activities for science missions, aiming at reducing the development risks in the implementation phase. Specific qualification requirements The service provider should have a technical degree Associate degree, BSc diploma or equivalent in electronic and electrical technologies from a recognized institution or equivalent with at least 10 years relevant experience in the field. Flexible and able to work autonomously on multiple tasks in support to the rest of the team. Experience working in the international and multicultural environment and knowledge of ESA working processes and procedures is considered an asset. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. Training to improve efficiency and provide strength for future career are of course included. Aurora assist with relocation both with support and financially. Aurora contributes to a company pension scheme.
