Committee of Oakland, Maine, Transfer Station Sets Goal to Increase Recycling

Oakland Transfer Station is looking for ways to boost recycling, such as integrating a dual stream recycling system.

The university's new goal aims to divert 40 percent of waste from landfill by 2020.

Currently, six of Googles data centers have already achieved this goal.

According to the city, apartment dwellers recycle and compost less than 30 percent of their waste.
