EUMETSAT is now embarking on new and challenging satellite development programmes, shaping its longterm future. Head of Generic Systems and Infrastructure REF. VN1303 In this important management role, you will oversee the engineering, maintenance and upgrading of generic ground segment functions, services and infrastructure to meet operational and future requirements. This includes all aspects of satellite monitoring and control, data services and computing and communication systems and involves developing multiprogramme solutions that can be adapted and extensively reused to ensure longterm viability. You will manage a team of about 75 staff and consultants and maintain cuttingedge knowledge in your areas of competence, giving you a high profile and impact. Alongside a relevant degreelevel qualification, you will bring substantial experience in developing and maintaining a ground segment used for spacecraft operations. This will have given you excellent interpersonal and management skills and a focused and resultsoriented approach, preferably backed by experience of software or system engineering. Finally, you must be able to operate effectively in English and have a working knowledge of French.
