RHEA is currently recruiting a Security Systems Engineer to support a range of ground systems projects at our clients premises in Portsmouth, UK. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Take on security requirements and architectures responsibilities within the System Design Team. Requirements analysis and functional decomposition Delivery of incremental systems design and baseline design for some component solutions. Technical analysis of system design issue Interface definition Authoring of technical specifications Technical exchanges and meetings with the European Space Agency ESA, System Prime and Subcontractors. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Be able to demonstrate experience within a large technical complex programme. Security engineering, software engineering, basic network design experience, hardware specification, formal approach to documentation, requirements definition and baselining, proactive problem solving approach. Have customer facing abilities. Previous experience of complex hardware and system integration projects. Have worked in a secure environment in the last 12 months. Based in Germany, Europes Meteorological Satellite Agency, is responsible for monitoring the weather and climate from space 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The key candidate for this role shall be responsible for the supervision, coordination and assessment of implementation for all IT security on operational systems. Working closely with other divisions, they shall also support security aspects for the development of new systems. Along with a university degree in a relevant subject, the key candidate shall have skillsexperience in each of the following areas ISOIEC 27001 and 27002 Security solutions and architectures for computer networks, computer systems and application software. Implementation and management of an Information Security Management System ISMS, including security software and tools. Performing security management in a 247 high availability operations environment Definition of securityrelated requirements Conducting security audits, ethical hacking on operational systems Candidates shall have proactive selfstarter approach with the ability to manage and prioritise their workload. They shall have excellent interpersonal, communication and team working skills with the ability to lead a small team.
