You will have the opportunity to provide electronic assembly expert support in the Materials Processes Section at our clients premises in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Provide electronic assembly expert support to defined ESA projects, reporting to the Product Assurance and Safety Managers and provide technical expertise in NRBs Provide technical assessment support to the review of verification in compliance with the ECSS Provide technical auditor support to the ESA audit of electronic assembly line Support Mandatory Inspection Point as a Cat 2 Inspector for electronic assembly Participate to the Assembly PCB Component Technology Board working group Participate to the Assembly PCB coordination meeting Support laboratory characterisation and verification for space use of a variety of materials as well as electronic assembly and repair soldering, solderless connection, crimping, etc. and printed circuit boards Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have PhD or Msc Engineering from a recognised Institution of secondary studies University, Ecole suprieure, etc. or equivalent. You have experience in conducting electronic assembly verification reviews. You have excellent knowledge of ECSSQST70082638707071requirement. You have good knowledge of PCB technologies. You are a decision maker. You are capable to take technical decisions in electronic assembly and materials and processes in general. You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in assembly expertise. Main responsibilities The candidate will report directly to the Head of the MPCVESM Baseline, Verification and AIT Section. The position will be nominally in ESTEC, Noordwijk NL. Temporary assignments to Airbus DS, in Bremen are part of the services having no cost impact. The position will consist of the following activities Follow up on a daily basis of the timely execution of the EM 1 assembly , integration and test activities Follow up of the timely and successful implementation of the qualification test plan at EM1 vehicle level Follow up of the timely and successful implementation of the acceptance test plan of the EM1 Equipment and subsystems reviews for what concern the AIV activities Tracking and review of all the test reports from the EM1 verification plan and the resolution of encountered anomalies Main milestones review meetings of the EM 1 Master Schedule Follow up of the EM2 assembly, integration and test activities in parallel to the EM1 campaigns Obtain from Airbus delivery managers the sub companies AIV activity progress against the critical path for subsystemsequipment and report to the project Report activity progress against the critical path of EM 1 assembly , integration and test activities Other duties in the area of competence as may be required. In particular the Service may include support to working groups where the MPCVESM Baseline, Verification and AIT Section is involved Responsible for Daily logbook, meeting Summary Notes, weekly report about EM1 assembly, integration and test activities and weekly report about Airbus Subcontractors AIV. Ideal candidate The candidate should have a PhD or MSc Engineering from a recognised Institution of secondary studies University or equivalent Should have minimum 4 years relevant experience The candidate shall have relevant qualification in Aerospace Engineering together with Assembly, Integration and Verification experience In addition, background and experience in other space projects definition and implementation of AIV activities is also required Should have excellent planning, organization, interpersonal and communications skills Should be able to follow industrial assembly, integration and test activities The candidate shall have a demonstrated ability to work within a complex programme structure Working language is English, knowledge of German language is an asset.
