Nike sues over Chuck Taylor trademark infringement

Converse is suing Skechers USA, Wal-Mart Stores Inc., FILA, Ed Hardy, K-Mart Corp. and Ralph Lauren Corp., among many others. It says the companies are infringing on trademarks that cover the look of the shoe and the diamond pattern on the bottom of the sole.

Manhattan Beacha s Skechers sues rival shoe company in patent infringement case

Manhattan Beach-based footwear company Skechers USA Inc. is suing a rival for allegedly infringing on seven of its patented designs for walking shoes. The suit, filed in federal court in Los Angeles against DB Shoe Co., seeks compensatory and punitive damages as well as injunctive relief against the San Francisco shoe company for allegedly infringing on Skechers' Go Walk line.

Nvidia files patent infringement suit against Samsung

(Telecompaper) Nvidia announced that it has filed complaints against Samsung and Qualcomm at the International Trade Commission and in the US District Court in Delaware, alleging that the companies are both infringing Nvidia GPU patents covering technology including programmable shading, unified shaders and multithreaded parallel processing. The Samsung products include the Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 mobile phones; and the Galaxy Tab S, Galaxy Note Pro and Galaxy Tab 2 tablets. Most of these devices incorporate Qualcomm mobile processors, including the Snapdragon S4, 400, 600, 800, 801 and 805. Others are powered by Samsung Exynos mobile chips, which incorporate ARM's Mali and Imagination Technologies' PowerVR GPU cores. Nvidia wants the court to set a value for a licensing agreement with the companies. In addition it asked the ITC to block shipments of Samsung Galaxy mobile phones and tablets containing Qualcomm's Adreno, ARM's Mali or Imagination's PowerVR graphics architectures.

AT&T Sues Cox Communications For Patent Infringement

AT&T is suing Cox Communications for infringing eight patents dealing with network quality after the regional cable provider ignored its complaints about the issue and made "billions" off of the technology, according to a new lawsuit.
