You will provide support in the area of system and mission performance engineering and onground instrument data processing engineering. Most activities will involve interactions with instrument, science and ground segment teams at EUMETSAT, and also, as relevant for the work, with engineers at partner agencies. Ideal candidate Essentials The KeyPerson should have a University degree in the domain of engineering, science, or equivalent and bring the following experience and background At least 3 years of combined experience in the field of engineering of space and or ground systems, in the area of Earth observation from space in the field of endtoend mission performance analysis, budgeting and verification for spaceborne observing systems Good knowledge of relevant spaceborne observation instruments JasonCS satellites will embark a radar altimeter, a microwave radiometer, a GNSS receiver and a radio occultation instrument. Knowledge of ground data processing algorithms and ground processing environment. You should be able to fulfil the assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision, have a systematic approach to work, be able to plan your work and to cope with tight schedules and multiple tasks. You should have the capability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation. Good communication skills verbal and written are important. You should be willing to work in a team of engineers and in cooperation with industry and partner agencies. The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French. The working language for the position is English and therefore you must be able to work effectively in this language.
