The Wall Street Journal is reporting that China's state-owned Tsinghua Unigroup has prepped a bid to acquire Micron for $23 billion or $21 per share: State-backed Chinese tech firm Tsinghua Unigroup has prepped a $23B, or $21/share, bid to acquire U.S. DRAM/NAND flash giant Micron , the WSJ reports . The report has broken shortly after AH trading closed for the day.

U.S. consumer groups oppose Teva bid for generic drug rival Mylan

Micron receives USD 23 bln bid from Tsingua - report

(Telecompaper) China's Tsinghua Unigroup has sent a letter to Micron Technology outlining a bid of USD 21 per share, a total of USD 23 billion, for the US chipmaker, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources familiar with the matter. The potential bid price is 19.3 percent higher than the share's USD 17.61 closing price on 13 July. A Micron spokesman said the company, based in Boise, Idaho, has not received a buyout offer and declined further comment.

US wins bid to seize $US300 million in Uzbek bribery probe

New York: The US Justice Department has won permission to seize $US300 million claimed to be the proceeds of an international bribery scheme involving two Russian phone companies and a relative of Uzbekistan's president. US District Judge Andrew Carter gave approval on Thursday to the government to seize the funds held in Bank of New York Mellon Corporation in Ireland, Luxembourg and Belgium and Clearstream Banking SA accounts in Luxembourg linked to the companies.
