On behalf of IPC and ~800,000 people employed in 2,200 U.S. member facilities, IPC President and CEO John Mitchell applauded launch of public-private institute on flexible hybrid electronics in Mountain View, CA. Mitchell noted how said IPC is committed to join Flexible Hybrid Electronics – Manufacturing Innovation Institute (FHE-MII), which is part of National Network for Manufacturing Innovation (NNMI) and will work on technical/business challenges of flexible hybrid electronics.

Georgia Tech Joins Manufacturing Innovation Institute For Flexible Hybrid Electronics

The Georgia Institute of Technology has become a founding member of the new Flexible Hybrid Electronics Manufacturing Innovation Institute (FHE-MII) established by the U.S. Department of Defense. The Institute will receive up to $75M in federal support over a five-year period, funding that will be matched by more than $96M in cost sharing from private companies, universities, several U.S. states, not-for-profit organizations and the city of San Jose, Calif.
