Tasks and Responsibilities Spacecraft Propulsion Development Engineering Analyse design project requirements and perform tradeoff between various design solutions for space vehicle propulsion subsystems andor components Assess detailed performance of selected solution and its compliance with the specification Contribute to definition of performance requirements of lower level elements. Contribute to definition of validation testplan, and, then, assess the results Analyse any deviations during the manufacturing phase and assess its acceptability Propose improvement and RD actions within the space vehicle propulsion subsystems respective technical fields. Engineer, Spacecraft Subsystem ADCS Propulsion

Role description summary The ADCS Propulsion team are responsible for the satellite attitude control, data handling and propulsion subsystems across the SES fleet of GEO and MEO satellites. In this role, you will become part of an EU and US based team that provides engineering support to the satellite operations control centers, implements all required development for safe satellite in orbit operations, ensures readiness for and smooth execution of future satellite missions, as well as provides engineering support to the SES satellite procurement field offices situated at the satellite manufacturers. Your Responsibilities Provide attitude dynamics, control, propulsion and data handling expertise to nominal and contingency operations of the satellite fleet, including 247 oncall support Monitor the onorbit ADCS, DHE and Propulsion subsystems to identify degraded performance, anticipate scenarios and take appropriate action. You will develop and maintain tools for evaluating and trending health to maximize satellite safety, availability and longevity Provide support to new satellite construction programs, orbit raising operations, and development of the ground products required for satellite operations Provide satellite engineering expertise to internal and external customers in relation to the responsibilities of the section. Work closely with external satellite manufacturers Contribute to a continuous effort to more effectively and efficiently manage the satellite in orbit operations, including process, procedures, monitoring, and data analysis improvements Make use of machine learning and big data analytics to further automate execution of operations, identify out of family performance and diagnose anomalies Your Profile A Bachelors Degree, or higher, in Space Engineering, with a specialization which includes dynamics and control system theory and application. Additional courses or knowledge in Computer or Data Science are beneficial. Computer software skills with proficiency with MATLAB andor Python programming language. 1 to 3 years applicable professional experience in satellite engineering andor operations are desired, but not mandatory. Propulsion Test Engineer

Description PLD Space is seeking a new member for our team to serve as Propulsion test engineer for MIURA 1 launch vehicle. The primary role of this position involves testing hardware from development, qualification, and acceptance for flight at both subsystem and component level. The Candidate will carry out rocket engine testing activities and propulsive stage testing activities at PLD Space propulsion facilities in Teruel Spain. This role is for a handson person. The main workplace will be Elche with frequent travels to Teruel and Huelva. Responsibilities Deep understanding of liquid rocket engine propulsion subsystems and components. Deep understanding of test procedures, industry standards, and bestpractices. Knowledge of thermodynamic principles as applied to cryogenics and highpressure systems, to ensure test facilities can provide physical parameters defined for each engine system or component. Knowledge of safety principles and best practices while working with high pressure fluids and cryogenics. Perform fundamental fluid flow, heat transfer and structural analysis to contribute to the design and development of new propulsion test facilities Write test plans, test procedures, and maintain configuration management system. Perform data analysis and prepare data reviews and performance reports to evaluate propulsion test facility performance. Work with technicians in the field to prepare test articles prior to testing. Coordinate with technicians to operate cryogenic facilities, fuel facilities and highpressure lines for engine testing. Provide support to System Engineering department to define, coordinate and control the functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the launch vehicle. Perform other duties as assigned. Required competences BSc in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Must be able to stand for extended periods. Must be able to maneuver in tight spaces. Must be able to handle items weighting more than 15kg. Valued competences Experience working with high pressure systems, desired experience with Fuel andor cryogenic components and propellants. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, test integration procedures of liquid aerospace propulsion systems or pressurized system. Experience 5 years of Rocket Propulsion subsystem testing activities or aerospacerelated propulsion testing activities.

Responsibilities To Participate in the TEPRELB Liquid Rocket Engine Flight Qualification, including hardware integration, testing and posthot test data processing. To be part of the engineering decision process of MIURA 1 propulsion subsystem final development, testing and integration. To provide inputs for TEPRELB liquid rocket engine upgrades and to improve its performance. To contribute and participate in the engineering decision process of MIURA 1 propellant feed system including piping, valves, sensing, actuators, etc. To contribute in material characterization, material selection and to generate specification for updates and further developments. To develop test plans for liquid propulsion parts and assemblies. To generate manufacturing and assembly specifications. To contribute in the upgrade PLD Space Propulsion Test Bench software and hardware. To operate Companys test bench during hot test campaigns. To provide launch and mission operations support. About TEPRELB Engine TEPRELB engine has been developed internally by PLD Space, being the first liquid propellant rocket engine developed by the company. This engine, fed by Kerosene and LOX in a Pressurefed cycle has been designed to boost MIURA 1 rocket into space. TEPRELB engine has a Thrust SL of 32.3 KN in Sea Level and 39.7 KN in Vacuum conditions. The engine is currently under Flight Qualification Process at PLD Spaces propulsion testing facilities in Teruel Spain. This engine has been developed with Spanish CDTI support in several RD projects as well as internal company investment. Required competences Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering. Relevant experience in liquid propulsion 7 years of liquid propulsion experience, design and testing . 5 years experience in Finite Element Analysis using industry tools such as ANSYS. Excellent use of Siemens NXTeamcenter, EcosimPro, Matlab and Simulink tools. Relevant experience in manufacturing processes metal machining Copper Alloys, Aluminium Alloys and Stainlesssteel Alloys, as well as Electrical Discharge Machining EDM. Other relevant experience in manufacturing processes, such as Aluminium and Stainlesssteel TIG Welding. Good communications skills, including C1 English Level both written and oral. Ability and willingness to thrive in a fastpaced work environment. Highly motivated and committed to improvement. Ability to represent a workgroup. Ability to work as a part of a team. Valued competences Use of Labview is desired. Experience with space launch vehicle design. Spanish both written and oral. Experience working with Spanish Government or National Agencies NASA, CNES or DLR. Experience working with Institutional Contracts with European Space Agency ESA. Experience 7 years of liquid propulsion experience, design and testing.
