(Telecompaper) Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched a new quantum computing service called Braket, together with an AWS Center for Quantum Computing and an Amazon Quantum Solutions Lab. Braket will let users scientists, researchers and developers- experiment with computers from quantum hardware providers, in one place. For the computers, AWS is partnering with D-Wave, IonQ, and Rigetti.

Orange Spain officially launches bank service

(Telecompaper) Orange has announced the commercial launch of its mobile banking service in Spain following a trial period and around two years after the platform was rolled out in France. In a statement, the operator said Orange Bank combines the attributes of a traditional bank with a mobile offering delivered via a dedicated app for compatible Android and Apple smartphones. All Orange Spain mobile customers who sign up to the service will have access to a Spanish IBAN, a Mastercard debit card with Apple Pay compatibility and the possibility of earning a 1 percent interest rate on savings of up to EUR 20,000.

Apple launches own studio for streaming service, starting with follow up to 'Band of Brothers'

(Telecompaper) Apple has launched its own internal studio, headed by Apple Worldwide Video chiefs Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht, Hollywood Reporter reported. The studio, still unnamed, will make content specifically for Apple, starting with "Masters of the Air", a follow up to the World War II series by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. The first two dramas in the series were from HBO: "Band of Brothers" and "The Pacific." The new series will see the return of Spielberg and Hanks as executive producers.
