Background The ACRA Business Unit of CurtissWright Controls Avionics Electronics is a industry leader in the area of aerospace space data acquisition systems. Position Overview A new contract position is available assist with system design, development, test and documentation for space based data handling equipment. This role is based at City of Industry, reporting to the Space Engineering office in Dublin. The ideal candidate is an allrounder with a mix of experience in electronic design and technical analysis. Heshe needs to be able to take responsibility for endtoend delivery of project deliverables assigned to them including design and project documentation. The position includes responsibility for engineering contact with the Prime customer. Responsibilities Review customers requirements to determine the basic feasibility of a solution based on the existing competencies and facilities within the organisation. Act as the primary point of contact for the customer Analyse a proposed solution to determine compliance with relevant standards. Write technical documentation including specifications, procedures, plans, technical notes, compliance matrixes and reports. Execute validation and qualification tests. Collaborate with other members of team on productsystem design. Liaise with hardware and software designers, technical management and 3rd party vendors. Adhere to project management best practices. Report to a Program Manager overseas Requirements University degree in Electronic Engineering or other relevant discipline. Relevant experience in electronic productsystem design. Excellent communication skills This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations ITAR or the Export Administration Regulations EAR. All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations Good knowledge of modern electronics. Some knowledge of data acqusition systems is desired. Selfstarter and quick learner. Familiarity with NASA andor ESA ECSS standards andor previous experience with working on aerospace projects is an advantage. Fluency in speaking, reading writing in the English language is mandatory.
