Space Applications Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the ESAs Integrated Applications programme team, you will have the following responsibilities Investigation and consolidation of usermarket needs and translation into user service requirement documents Preparation of relevant documents e.g. ITTs, calls for ideas proposals Definition of the application architecture, including interfaces and interoperability between different space and nonspace systems Organisation of user and industry workshops Preparation of TIA Directorate project and strategy related presentations, slideshows, videos and brochures Monitoring of scientific and commercial developments in the fields of Development, Energy, Food and Agriculture, Health, Transport land, sea and air, Security and Environment Initiation of activities and studies related to the areas of responsibility Implementation and management of feasibility studies Provision of technical support in the areas of responsibility, and coordination of support provided by other ESA Directorates Liaison with user and stakeholder communities in the areas of responsibility. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent qualification in Telecommunications or Remote Sensing Several years experience in earth observation, satnav and sitcom with a solid understanding of operational aspects of space based applications and services Good analytical, strategic and formulating skills as well as the ability to work within an international environment Knowledge of web design, graphical software and digital video generation would be an asset Fluency in English is mandatory.
