LSE Space is looking for experienced Engineers mfd in order to fulfill the duty of Spacecraft Operations Engineers for our customer, based in DarmstadtGermany to help deliver a stateoftheart spacecraft operation. You will have an opportunity to work with our customer in the area of Spacecraft subsystems operations and be part of our spacecraft operations engineering team working at the customer premises enabling fast paced space operations. You will get excellent opportunities to support LEOP activities besides routine operations. This role will include, but will not be limited to the following responsibilities Flight Operations Procedures FOP preparation Writing of procedures Adapt procedures to new databases and procedures delivered by industry Define validation scenarios FOP validation, testing, result reporting Preparation of and participation in SVTs and simulations Test and validation of operational items like CSIM, ASW, ODB, SCCF, MOIS Participation in and provision of training spacecraft subsystems, Ops tools, Ops concepts Anomaly Reports handling writing, action processing, support of review boards Routine operations Support including the provision of oncall support Support of routine, special and contingency operations during PF Commissioning, Offline analysis of the subsystem performance This service request support shall cover different subsystems engineering areas of expertise. You will be part of a service team which shall work in collaboration with the existing Sentinels teams. Qualifications Experience Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering or any other related area Some years of experience in the spacecraft operations Experience in Earth Observation or Sentinels missions will be a big plus. LSE Space GmbH is looking for a Software Engineer mfd to work within the Software Engineering Team in our headquarters office close to MunichGermany to design, develop and test software, with main focus on the Galileo Ground Segment L3 software maintenance. The core L3 maintenance tasks will be Establishment of development environment Software problem analysis and resolution Support to anomaly resolution boards Change request analysis and implementation Code coverage testing Acceptance testing Bug fixing and implementation of new functionality Product assurance and configuration management Coordination with L2 maintenance team Maintenance release deployment Additionally, you will be able to work on the design and development of new ground segment software including following tasks Full lifecycle application development Fullstack web application development Designing, coding and debugging applications Software analysis and requirements analysis Graphical user interface design mainly web Software testing and quality assurance Automated software testing Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation Design and development of web based applications Academic requirements a University or similar degree in computer science, engineering or similar discipline. Skills Proficient in languages such as Java, C, C or Python Interest in working with Web technologies javascript frameworks, html5, css3 Comfortable on configuring and using building tools e.g. maven, gradle Comfortable with software configuration management e.g., Git, SVN Experience with databases desirable Experience on application deployment on Linux systems desirable Systemminded and a team player Able to work in an interdisciplinary team The candidate must show a genuine interest in space and ground systems Experience in test automation tools like Selenium, Protractor, SerenityJS, JUnit, etc. Experience with code coverage analysis tools like Cantata Selfstarter, able to work independently with little or no supervision in a small team Fluent in English, both in speech and writing German language skills would be a plus Benefits A permanent employment contract.
