You will be prime Automation Engineer for CAD activities, taking the lead on automation VB development and scripting activities. You will give support and assistance to the CAD Process Manager so that the definition and development of mechanical design processes are applied across the Stevenage Mechanical Design Office. You will assist in the provision of CAD process support and training to the Stevenage Mechanical Design Office team. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Assistance in the definition of CAD Process in support of all Stevenage Mechanical Design Office design and drawing office activities, principally using Catia V5, in conjunction with related PDM and ERP software and systems VPM, S5, SPRINT, etc. Assistance in the definition of tool development related to CAD activities. Principally with the forthcoming migrationvalidation of V5 to V6. Identification of CAD software problems and resolution at the local STV MDO level. Improve CAD Process through application of new techniques available through CAD software and development of automatic processes where appropriate to maximise design efficiency. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience HNCHND or above in Computer Science with good Mathematics competency, 3D computation and trigonometry Previous experience in the Aerospace industry In depth VB development and scripting skills Proven experience in VB script, VB.net, CATScript and automation skills Macro creation automation Knowledge of Catia V5V6 VB API Catia Drafting and general drawing experience would be a plus. Good presentation, documentation and reporting skills, good overall communicationinteraction. Good ability to read, understand and write, BRD, SPD and DDD. Understanding of KnowledgeWare productstools DPC, KWE, PKT. Excellent written level in English.
