Construction to ease CF Industries truck traffic approved by Woodbury County Supervisors

After months of issues stemming from aggressive truck traffic on the roads leading to the CF Industries construction project, the county is moving forward with a plan to ease some of the wear and tear. The supervisors voted unanimously to approve a plan to extend 240th street to connect Andrew and Allison Avenue in the area around the CF Industries project.

New car, truck sales fall 3% in August in North Carolina

Following a robust summer of auto sales , August sales were down 3 percent statewide and down 5 percent in the Triangle compared to the year prior, according to reports from the North Carolina Automobile Dealers Association. However, auto sales in the Triangle are still lagging 13 percent behind last year, primarily due to a precipitous decline in the sale of cars versus trucks in Wake, Durham and Orange counties.
