Job description For our customer in the South of Germany we are seeking for a satellite project experienced engineers 1 AIT RF engineer, 1 Thermal AIT engineer, 1 functional QA engineer AIT QA to work at customer site. Responsibilities You are working close to the AIT department for either RF, thermal or QA issues. This is a fulltime position located at customer site in South Germany. The requested start of work is summer 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter. Qualifications Competencies The successful candidate shall have A Masters degree or equivalent qualification in Space System Engineering or related engineering discipline. Extensive at least 23 years experience in space systems engineering with focus on space satellite development including AIVAIT. Experience in management of industrial activities including reviews. Knowledge and practice in the application of ESA System Engineer Standards e.g. ECSSE10 series. Knowledge of space missions, knowledge of satellite PFM is considered a bonus. Good command in English language, German andor French a plus but not mandatory Specific Qualifications Competencies for the position as AIT engineer At least 23year experience in the AIT RF domain experience on RF Good knowledge in UNIXLinuxWindows usage and Jira tool. Knowledge SCOS 2000 and the SCOS 2000 MIB ICD desirable Knowledge of ECSS in particularly PUS and its tailoring would be an asset. Knowledge about Linux Unix JIRA Ideally experienced on Termas CCS5 and language TOPE Thermal AIT engineer At least 23year experience in the AIT thermal domain Knowledge about MLI, thermal HW, temperature sensors, temperature sensitivity AIT QA functional QA engineer At least 23year experience in the AIT functional QA domain Clean room Knowledge about checkout systems, Experience in quality assurance about satellite HW SW, platformsystem Soft skills Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team. ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Power Thermal Section of the Satellite Engineering Department is responsible for the satellite power and thermal subsystems across the growing SES fleet of GEO and MEO satellites. In this role, you become part of the US and European based team, that provides engineering and oncall support to the satellite operations control centers, develops tools for inorbit operations, analyzes satellite data, and supports the design, construction, test and deployment of new SES satellites. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Provide electrical Power Thermal expertise to nominal and contingency operations of the satellites, including 247 oncall support as part of the team Proactively monitor the electrical Power Thermal subsystems to identify degraded performance, anticipate scenarios and take appropriate action. Develop and maintain tools for evaluating and trending health to maximize satellite safety, availability and longevity Provide support to new satellite construction programs, orbit raising operations, and development of the ground products required for satellite operations Interface with internal and external parties in relation to the responsibilities of the subsystems, such as external Satellite Manufacturers and internal Fleet Development teams Contribute to a continuous effort to more effectively and efficiently manage the satellite inorbit operations, including processes, procedures, monitoring, and data analysis improvements.
