CGIs space team is growing rapidly and has a particular need for an Integrated Logistics Support ILS Practitioner. You will join our busy team working on a number of programmes across the Sector including the prestigious European Galileo Navigation programme. Your role will need you to contract with, and manage external suppliers for the delivery of ILS projects as well as develop proactive relationships with suppliers and support agencies. You will have manager and team leadership skills and must have the ability to write clearly and concisely. You need to be flexible in approach to work and have strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written. Some travel to client sites may be required. In terms of skills you should have some or all of the following Essential An Engineering background with a relevant degree or previous related experience. The ideal candidate will have 5 years or more ILS engineering experience Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point. Good written and verbal communication skills Track record of successfully leading or managing a ILS project Desirable Obsolescence Management tracking, reporting, writing TNsmaking recommendations for replacement items. Ability to work with Design teams, Infrastructure teams, Security teams etc to suggest cost effective functional replacements May also want to get them specifically responsible for RMA, Repairs and tie this into DRACAS and updating fault analysis spares modelling Broad spread of ARMT skills, including both hardware and software Experience in the use of ILS Tools such as OmegaPS, Analyser, Isograph etc Knowledge of Software Design Development. Experience of working with MoD and the Armed Services and knowledge of the approach to ILS detailed in AOF framework SSE Understanding of the processes and procedures for Integrated Logistics Support ILS and or Contractor Logistic Support CLS within the UK MOD domain. This role is based in Leatherhead, and will require the majority of the candidates time to be spent at our Leatherhead offices. Opportunities for smart working can be discussed during the selection process. This role includes the opportunity for some occasional international travel to client sites, especially within Europe. As a member of the Ground Segment System Engineering Team, the Key person shall contribute to maintain the overall system design documentation of the operational systems. When evolutions of the systems are proposed and implemented, the Key person shall analyse them and verify the system and interfaces coherence. In the role of support to the maintenance and evolution activities ofthe operational programmes, the tasks of the Key person shall include Coordinate the maintenance, for all the operational ground systems, of a complete and consistent set of System Technical Documentation. Perform technical analysis of system architecture and specification evolutions or major upgrades of the operational ground systems, for interfaces coherence and compatibility check with other ongoing developments Define the IV V testing approach for major evolutions of the operational ground systems and contribute to the coordination of the installation, integration and verification of new systems into the Operational infrastructure Contribute to the various OPS TSS Projects and associated reviews, as required, providing System Engineering support during the design phase and contribute actively to the definition of the IV V activities Perform analysis, investigations and resolution of system level anomalies. Support the SEP System Engineer on all related activities as requested Support the OPS regular coordination processes, including CRBs and ARBs, as requested. In the role of support to the development of new GEO and LEO programmes, the tasks of the Key person shall include Participate to the definition of the system architecture and interfaces between the multimission elements and the programme specific elements of the ground system In coordination with the system and interface engineers of the future ground segment, ensure that the definition and documentation of new interfaces are compatible with the methodology used in Operations this include the use of common templates for Interface Control Document and the use of the same tool for maintaining the interfaces data dictionary Provide support to the definition of the IV V approach for the future ground systems Promote the implementation of the TSS working practices regarding system maintainability and evolutions. Main responsibilities Tasks and Responsibilities You should support the ESA PA Safety Manager for designated projects in conducting, monitoring assessing the implementation of the PA Safety Programme. This includes support to any or all of the following activities Establishing the PAS requirements baseline for all elements of the project, in compliance with the ESA general Product Assurance and Safety policy Produce and implement plans, define inputs, outputs, participants, responsibilities, interfaces, coordinate efforts of participants, and produce resulting consolidated inputs Reviewing contractors plans, specifications and effort proposed for the execution of the project PAS programme Produce reports of review activities performed e.g. documents reviewed, checklists used, spot check performed and conclusionsrecommendations Monitoring project PA status identify relevant PA issues, including NCR SPR Waivers Problems Critical Items and systematically tracking all items. In addition to the above stated tasks, you will be responsible for Supporting Industrial PAS Audits as auditor as well as lead auditor Supporting audits in the frame of ESAs Test Centre Certification Scheme, as auditor as well as lead auditor. Ideal candidate Requirements You should bring a Master degree in engineering or technical sciences, at least 4 years of working experience and the following Certified quality auditor with lead auditing experience in the aerospace industry, including but not limited to planning, coordinating and executing supplier audits, reporting audit results, performing audit followup and closeout activities Proficient knowledge and experience working with international quality management standards such as ISO 9001 and EN 9100. Knowledge and experience of ISOIEC 17025 and other international management standards is an asset Experience documenting quality management processes and developing quality management training material Able to identify and analyse quality system strengths and weaknesses, and propose corrective actions to quality system processes Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present and effectively communicate quality system processes.
