Baijiu maker Wuliangye Yibin Co Ltd has teamed up with United States liquor giant Brown-Forman Corp to develop new products for emerging markets and counter sluggish baijiu sales business due to the ongoing crackdown on corruption and extravagance in China. Brown-Forman, the Louisville-based wine and spirits producer that owns famous whiskey brand Jack Daniels, has already signed a cooperation agreement with Wuliangye in this regard, said sources.

NBN Co and Telstra today announced the signing of revised definitive agreements, clearing the major hurdle for the company rolling out the National Broadband Network as it shifts to the 'Multi-Technology Mix' favoured by the Coalition government. Under the original agreements with NBN Co, Telstra was obliged to progressively migrate its customers off its copper network and onto the fibre-to-the-premises NBN and shut down the copper network.
