Aurora is an established supplier of skilled manpower to ESA and in particular at ESTEC and ESAC. Aurora has the opportunity to expand our support within ESAC. Overview We are looking for Technical IT Support,to lend onsite support at ESAESAC, located in Madrid, Spain. For the tasks and activities the specific service tasks include UNIX LINUX and SOLARIS, Macintosh and PC System Management Installation, configuration, integration, and setting up of new machines with appropriate operating systems and layered software. Administration and operation management of computer systems. Installation and configuration of new hardware and new users accounts. User support mainly scientists and engineers. Handle the mail aliases and mail distribution lists. Definition, implementation and maintenance of computer operators procedures. Issues of documentation and technical reports. Specific qualification requirements A University degreeMaster in Computer Science. At least 4 years of relevant working experience in the activities mentioned above.. Ideally the candidate shall have a broad experience, working in diverse companies with IT automation projects. A good level of written and spoken Englishand Spanish isdesirable. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in Spain without the need to obtain a work visa. Only European Union EU, European Economic Area EEA and SWISScitizens can be employed by Aurora in Spain. Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. In line with ESAs security requirements, prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident, and Aurora will validate your employment history. Location It is expected that the work will be performed at the ESAC, the European Space Astronomy Centre at Villafranca del Castillo, near Madrid Spain. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration in line withESA Job Class. You will be registered for both social security and tax in Spain. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. In addition to public health services Aurora provides private medical insurance in Spain. Simulation Technical Expert Deadline for applications 22042019 Client and Location For one of our customers we are currently recruiting a Simulation Technical Expert for their location in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Tasks and Responsibilities Establishment of the technical requirements for the whole simulation platform due to planning constraints, for the HMI only, this will be done by the operational expert in close cooperation of the team in charge of developing the HMI the contracted STC will nevertheless remain in charge of the overall testing of the simulation platform, including the HMI Specification and development of the platform software and hardware specifications Definition of the ESCAPE simulator platform Definition of the eDEP Tower simulator platform in case its necessary to run Tower RTS Management the change requests collect, assess, plan, discuss, implement Definition of the testing and acceptance criteria organise, plan and supervise the test and acceptance sessions Coordination with work package leaders and ESCAPE technical managers reviews and acceptance of any other platform related activity Coordinate all platform related activities with the other team members, and in particular with the assistant STC, the operational expert and the team in charge of HMI, the Audiolan and the hardware layout of the platform Implementation of the exercise versions of the simulation supervise proper running of the exercise, recording of the data, saving and logging of files Production of technical reports. Experience and Education Confirmed experience in the technical configuration of the EUROCONTROL ESCAPE simulator or similar simulators, including national simulators Good understanding of air traffic management concepts Excellent command of the English language and in particular with the drafting of reports Abide by the working methods of the airspace simulation section and work in close coordination with EUROCONTROL Simulator Technical Coordinator team leader Ability to guarantee the continuity of the support all along the duration of the project. Contingency measures must be described in case of unexpected unavailablility Good level in software development, mainly based on Java or C. Shall be familiar with development process, quality management, and documentation.
