CSR will shortly offer two connectivity products for the new ARM mbed operating system that will enable developers to produce complete Internet of Things solutions. CSR will offer two mbed expansion boards, also known as shields; one combines Wi-Fi and Bluetooth based on the CSR6030 and CSR8311 ICs.

Rosneft calls off purchase of Morgan Stanley's oil trading arm

Sources told Reuters in September that Rosneft might abandon the Morgan Stanley deal because sanctions had hurt its ability to finance the operations. The fall in its share price and the ruble's collapse have left Rosneft with a market capitalization of $31 billion, against $45 billion of debt that was mainly incurred with last year's purchase of oil producer TNK-BP.

Football star David Beckham signed a worldwide licensing joint venture with Global Brands Group on Wednesday to create a lifestyle brand, marking the start of a celebrity-focused branding strategy at the Li & Fung consumer brands spin-off. "This is a joint venture that will build brands and licence brands all around the world not just with David Beckham but other incredibly iconic stars," chief executive Bruce Rockowitz said at a press conference marking the event.

Toyota Motor Credit Corp is the financing unit of Toyota, the world's largest automaker, and has now come to the attention of US authorities for alleged discriminatory loan pricing. According to the US regulators, the unit could be hit with an enforcement action because of the way it prices auto loans sent to its car dealerships and might be coerced to give back cash to borrowers or risk a penalty, said the company.
