000 ABPZ20 KNHC 300504 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 PM PDT Wed May 29 2019 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: Disorganized showers and thunderstorms continue less than 200 miles south of southern Mexico in association with a broad area of low pressure. Environmental conditions are expected to be unfavorable for tropical cyclone formation during the next day or so before the system moves inland over southern Mexico. Regardless of whether or not this disturbance develops, heavy rain is expected over portions of southern Mexico and Central America throughout this week and into the weekend. This broad disturbance continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms over portions of Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and the adjacent Pacific waters. The system is expected to move inland over Central America on Wednesday, and formation of a tropical cyclone is not expected. However, locally heavy rainfall is likely to continue over portions of Central America and southern Mexico during the next several days.
