000 ABPZ20 KNHC 291145 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 AM PDT Tue Aug 29 2017 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: An elongated area of low pressure centered a few hundred miles south of Manzanillo, Mexico, is producing widespread showers and thunderstorms. This system is expected to become a tropical cyclone on Wednesday or Thursday while it moves generally northward or northwestward near the coast of southwestern Mexico and Baja California Sur. Residents along the coasts of Colima, Jalisco, Nayarit and Baja California Sur should monitor the progress of this system, and tropical storm watches or warnings could be required for a portion of those areas later today.
