Toyota Announces Recall of Certain Model Year 2015 Sienna Minivans for 2nd Row Overhead Grips

Nov. 26, 2014: Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., today announced plans to conduct a voluntary safety recall of approximately 25,500 Model Year 2015 Sienna Minivans. Approximately 30,000 Sienna vehicles are involved worldwide; including approximately 2,000 in Canada; 1,600 in Mexico; 130 in Korea and 18 vehicles in Germany.

Ground Segment System Architect Model Based Systems Engineering

For our activities in EUMETSAT, we are currently looking for a Ground Segment System Architect. The key person will ensure support to the architectural and system engineering activities for the operational and future programmes within the System Engineering and Projects Division. In doing this, the key person shall support SEP activities in the following areas of work Modelling of ground segment subsystems, addressing functional, behavioural and interface aspects Refactoring of the architectural design of existing systems within the context defined for the Reference Ground Segment Support the consolidation and evolution of the Reference Architecture Definition of requirements for the components of the architecture. For doing this, the Key Person shall make use of ModelBased Systems Engineering approaches and tools to document the work done and describe the architecture of the system components. The MBSE tool available at EUMETSAT in support of functional analysis and decomposition of the system is CORE 9 from Vitech. The Key Person will be a member of a multidisciplinary system engineering team interacting with operational programmes and future programmes engineering teams. Tasks and Responsibilities The Key person will perform system engineering activities such as Requirements engineering, which consists in requirement analysis and validation, requirement allocation, and requirements maintenance Functional analysis and architecture design applying system modelling engineering methods and techniques Subsegment components specification Interface and data structures and flows definition Design which results in an architecture, described by its complete functional, physical and software characteristics System analysis, which is performed for the purpose of resolving requirements conflicts, decomposing and allocating requirements, assessing system effectiveness Performance of trade studies for assessing effectiveness, risk, cost and planning. The Key person is expected to perform the following specific tasks Build models of Subsystem of the RA Ground Segment, capturing their requirements, describing the internal architecture and defining their external interfaces Support the generation, review and maintenance of the documentation of the RA Subsystems addressing their architecture, functions, requirements and interfaces Support the management of the requirements of the RA subsystem and Components, heeding on the evolution of the operational system and future systems, using DOORS Categorise and link relevant Subsystem and Component requirements to the model for traceability Refine the processes and working practices established for the application of the Model Based SE and the use of CORE Support the administration, configuration, deployment and use of CORE licenses. In the performance of these tasks, the Key person shall apply the EUMETSAT configuration and change control procedures as well as the relevant system engineering standards, quality management procedures and maintenance procedures. Requirements Essentials The Key person shall have a university degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline relevant to the job profile together with the experience and capability to fulfil the assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision. Knowledge and experience with the following is considered essential Extensive experience in the analysis of systems applications and modelling At least 5 years demonstrated experience in the field of systems engineering and architectural design Space and Ground System engineering processes, and System and Software lifecycles and standards. Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering methods, techniques and tools Experience in the use of modelling and design tools in support of architectural design activities e.g. CORE Definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of dedicated tools e.g. DOORS. Proficiency in English is required. Desirables Previous working experience in system engineering aspects of SystemGround Systems for MeteorologicalEarth Observation Satellites would be an advantage. Experience in evolution management andor product line management of assets shared across organisational parts is desirable. The Key person shall be able to fulfil the assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision, have a systematic approach to work, be able to plan hisher work and to cope with tight schedules and multiple parallel tasks. Heshe shall have the capability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation. Good communications skills verbal and written are important. Heshe shall be willing to work in a team of engineers and in cooperation with industry and partner agencies. Due to the nature of the position, the Key person shall have good interpersonal skills and proactive attitude with strong ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
