Space Applications Services is a growing company looking for a Software Engineer with experience in Model Based Systems Engineering MBSE, to primary work on a research project that address the model based development of realtime embedded systems and software from safety and dependability viewpoints. Tasks and Responsibilities You will join the Avionics and Embedded System team whose activities cover the complete system and software development lifecycle for a number of projects. You will carry out project work by contributing to the development of solutions for addressing safety and dependability concerns of spacecraft onboard critical functions, using MBSE. You will provide specialist technical advice and support to other team members as needed. You will develop specifications, methodologies, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments as required by the project. You will interface with the project Partners and the Customer as necessary. You will provide, recommend and implement new or improved software engineering standards, practices, and methods. You will contribute to preproject activities by participating to technical proposals that address Model Based Systems Engineering MBSE. Qualifications and Experience You must have the following qualifications to apply A university degree or equivalent min 4 years in Software Engineering or in another relevant discipline, and at least 2 years experience in safety critical software ideally for aerospace applications. Proven knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, formal development methodologies, modeling languages e.g. UMLSysMLAADL, modeling tools, model transformations. Proficiency in software programming in C and C. Knowledgeexperience with standards and techniques for safety and dependability analysis. Experience in developing Eclipsebased components and tools, especially for building modeling tools, would be an asset Eclipse EMFGEFGMF, Eclipse plugin development. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills in English, both written and oral. Offer A fulltime permanent contract with competitive salary package.
