Cott moving into Canadian water-coffee delivery business with Aquaterra purchase

Canada's largest water delivery business for homes and offices is to be acquired for about $62 million by Cott Corp., best known as a leading North American supplier of private-label carbonated drinks. Cott says its friendly takeover of Aquaterra is part of a strategic shift that included last year's purchase of Atlanta-based DS Services of America for $1.25 billion.

These photographs donated by Canadian philanthropist David Thomson will form part of the new collection at the National Gallery of Canada The Canadian Photography Institute, which will be housed within the National Gallery of Canada, is intended to become one of the world's most comprehensive collections of photographs covering the entire history of the medium. David Thomson, art collector, chair of Thomson Reuters Corp. and long-time patron of the gallery, will add to the collection for the next 10 years.
