Ramaco LLC, based in Sheridan has filed its mine and reclamation permit for the Brook Mine with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality through its subsidiary - the Brook Mining Company. The mine site chosen - 15,000 acres six miles north of Sheridan - is not new to mining.

A Wilkes-Barre man recovering from a stabbing that took place Monday night inside a Wyoming Valley Mall retail store survived a gunshot wound more than a year ago. Wilkes-Barre police reported on May 24, 2013, that Mondelice, 24, walked into Wilkes-Barre General Hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to the leg he suffered outside an after-hours night club on South Main Street.
