Cashmere prices have slightly declined for medium and broad micron types in September in China, after domestic and export markets have surged in the first part of the year. Goat slaughtering has resulted in lower cashmere production whereas demand was further increasing. Our report offers an overall picture of short-term and long-term trends of cashmere prices with latest export prices for Chinese fibers and yarns (carded and combed). Historical data covering the last five years are available for download.

China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Spun polyester prices have continued falling in the last seven days in China, in line with a new decline of polyester staple fiber prices. Margins have improved at spinning mills, as yarn producers were slow in lowering their offers. Cotton and viscose spun yarn prices have remained rather unchanged in the meantime. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing and Shaoxing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Domestic and import yarn prices are compared. All data are available for download.
