Electrical Ground Support System EGSE Technician Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is an independent Danish company recognized in satellite test systems, software, independent software verification and validation activities, onsite engineering support and power electronics. Their software systems have been utilized for onboard, checkout, ground station, simulation and in many other critical space related domains As part of the project teams, you will have the following responsibilities Responsible for bringup, unit tests, integration testing and assembly Provide technical assistance to the Research Development team. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or relevant education Solid practical handson hardware experience with electronics, including bringup, assembly and test Ability to thoroughly document your work Fluency in English is mandatory. Field Support Technician

For our activities in ESOC, we are currently looking for a temporary Support Technician to provide field support to a permanent user community of around 800 users for a duration of 6 months. The support to be provided will be very varied and will include support for Windows operating systems currently Windows 7 Microsoft Office Lotus Notes MAC and IOS Mobile and smart phones IP and TDM telephones PABX interfacing Helpdesk support Network printer support Third party liaison 1st line networking Video conferencing. Tasks and Responsibilities The key person will cover the following tasks Manning a local helpdesk of a rotational basis with first line call resolution Second level calls resolution in the field Video conference systems installation, upgrade, configuration and problem handling Explaining to users available services and how these should be requested Evaluating user requests and problems, raising tickets for each one Solving as many problems as possible Inventory and asset management Liaising with the central IT service desk CSD in Rome Evaluating tickets coming from the CSD and allocating them to the correct teams, both on and off site Planning PC and other equipment installation, including planned refreshes Assuming ownership of all tickets, continually monitoring these tickets and following them up as required to ensure SLAs are being met. Requirements The successful candidate will have had 2 to 3 years in a similar environment and have had experience with Windows 7 MS Office products and their usage Lotus Notes Apple MACs Mobile and IP telephony Video conferencing systems Asset management tools Problem logging database BMC Remedy ideally. In addition, candidates should have good customer interfacing skills and the ability to identify priority situations and deal with them accordingly. As well as being a prerequisite for the fluctuating technical environment, flexibility is also required for covering the helpdesk on a rotational basis, covering the extended day, covering the small site in Cologne and for the occasional operational support for satellite activity. Technician, Station Support Shift mf Ref SES0287 Region Europe Location Luxembourg Betzdorf Company SES Category Ground Terrestrial Operations Position Staff Context The Station Support Group Technician shall provide 1st line rapid and effective intervention to any ground system anomaly. The incumbent shall join a 12 strong team based in Betzdorf Luxembourg, working shift to ensure 247 station coverage. The high availability of payload communications, TTC, orbit determination and other measurement and analysis systems shall be the primary goal. As part of the Ground Operations team, the incumbent shall also provide 2nd level support for all Betzdorf based ground systems as well as 17 other earth stations ranging from Adelaide, Australia to Goonhilly, England. Responsibilities Respond to any ground system anomaly that affects the communications traffic, TTC, Orbit Determination or other measurement and analysis systems. Restore the service with the least possible delay Support Satellite and Communications Operations ReConfigure the Betzdorf Teleport in order to provide backhaul, signal processing and uplink services to our customers Proactively maintain the Betzdorf and backup stations in an excellent state Perform various backup switching. Perform antenna verification and other tests Take responsibility for LEOP operations Support various SES customers Take 1st line responsibility outside office hours for all ground systems including Power and HVAC. Experience Qualifications TechnicalEngineering degree in radio communications andor electronics degree Strong knowledge of Earth Station systems, equipment and operations Strong RF knowledge theoretical and practical Strong knowledge of satellite reception principles Knowledge of digital and analogue video, MPEGDVB encoding and multiplexing, FM and QPSK modulation Knowledge of TTC and satellite operations would be an advantage Demonstrated ability to perform well under pressure Excellent diagnostic skills Strong team player, Selfstarter and strong customer focus.
