Cyber Security Engineer for Galileo mfd

LSE Space GmbH is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer mfd to join our Service Operations Team supporting the Galileo Mission in Oberpfaffenhofen near MunichGermany. The core tasks will be Establish a baseline for the usage of different Network Protocols, by analyzing System log extractions Define any updates of the Ground and Flight operational procedures as required, so that they comply with the cyber security requirements Define and create procedures for log extraction and analysis Provide cyber security expertise from an operations perspective to support the development process of the existing ground segment Routine checks on the Network Security Status and configuration based on ISO 27001 Standard Establish and maintain a configuration baseline for the system Offline TrendAnalysis with Splunk on extracted logs Analysis on the System Hardening Status Provide support to the integration, testing and handover from equipment developers to the operational chain, in order to validate the closure of any identified vulnerabilities Assess the impact on operational products and processes from any new system configuration Preparation of security analysis reports. Required experience and skills Thorough and practical understanding of good systems engineering processes Proven work experience in IT Systems Security Practical experience of penetration testing, ethical hacking and networks forensics and analysis Experience with Windows and Linux OS hardening Good interpersonal and communication skills English level Fluent enough to able to understand and produce technical documents and presentations in English Selfstarter, able to work independently with little or no supervision in a small team. You will have the responsibilities to properly guide and coordinate the Cryptographic Modernisation project. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Providing assistance in drafting and updating the annual ACO Cryptographic Modernisation Timed Roadmap. Provide assistance in planning and implementing Alliancewide operational contingencies as a result of delays in the delivery of Crypto Modernisation projects. Provide support to the Allied Crypto Task Force ACTF secretariat, in organising the respecting meetings and drafting reports to inform discussions with the Nations on cryptographic issues. Provide assistance in developing the operational requirements of the Cryptographic Situation Awareness as described in CP09Cl22. Provide assistance in the planning and implementation of lifecycle management projects of NATO online and offline crypto equipment for accountability, serviceability and reuse. Providing assistance in preparing the annual CIS Security Audit Program of Work. Provide support on various Crypto Modernisation related activities, as directed by the BH J6 CyberSPP. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University Degree in Electronic Engineering, or similar technical field. Background knowledge and multiyear experience in organization, management and support of various international operations, activities, units and projects related to defense, security, electronics and communications, in the national and NATO environments. Previous experience within NATO, dealing with Crypto implementation and standards. Deep knowledge of Maritime Cryptographic issues, including training, CONOPS, key management. Experience with Risks Management as applied to Cryptographic and Cyber Security Fields. Experience in leading staff work on large and complex projects or responsible.
