For Astrium in Heilbronn Lampoldshausen we are looking for a Head of Orbital Propulsion Quality fm within the area Propulsion Equipement Quality. Your responsibilities will include Leading and managing the Orbital Propulsion Quality department and its team members including product assurance, quality assurance, configuration management and documentation management areas Identifying and implementing improvements in the scope of the department and taking part in improvement programmes beyond the scope of the department Holding regular meetings with the leadership team of the organisational unit Ensuring regular contact on a management level with the respective counterparts of customers and suppliers Performing qualityrelated operational tasks including supply quality management in the scope of Orbital Propulsion Quality We are looking for candidates with the following skills Degree in Engineering or similar Basic knowledge of manufacturing processestechnologies e.g. for assessment of root causes andor manufacturing process failure mechanisms as well as in configuration management Basic knowledge of company process development, application including measurement and improvement Good knowledge of and experience in applying the methods and tools needed for quality management e.g. FMEAFMECA, 8DMethod, Root Cause Analysis methods and Statistical Process Control would be an advantage Knowledge and proven experience in Lean 6 Sigma methodologies would be an advantage A quick understanding of technical products, their key functions and critical aspects in manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing would be an advantage Leadership experience Language skills fluent negotiation level in English and German If you are interested in this position, please apply online via www.jobs.eads.com.
