System Engineer Optical Systems

We are currently looking for a System Engineer Optical Instruments to support our customer in Germany. System Engineer Optical Instruments Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the optical instruments system engineers, you will have the following responsibilities Control instrument mechanical performances and compliance to customer requirements Participate in reviews Supervision of detailed structural design and analysis for the instrument and subsystems Manage mechanical activities including documentation Technical support to the project, including changes, reviews, tests, buyoff Participation in Instrument Mechanical AITV assembly, integration, test and verification Support to optomechanical AITV and nonconformance processing Support to Mechanical Instrument Test Management Mechanical test specification and instrumentation plan Approval of tests procedures Manage and conduct sine vibration acoustic tests Manage and conduct deployment, shock, alignment tests Mechanical and Thermal Performance Consolidation Review of final mechanical analysis and verification results. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in relevant engineering discipline Several years of experiences in engineering and in aerospace Comprehensive experience in the field of optical Instrument mechanical architecture, design, development and manufacturing of stable structures is required Knowledge in the field of optomechanical analysis and test of light weight structures for optical instruments and optical subsystems equipment is required Fluency in English is mandatory fluency in German is an advantage. New pestivirus attacks the nervous system of Austrian pigs

The viral origin of the disease was clarified only recently with the discovery in Europe and the USA of an atypical porcine pestivirus. Researchers at the Vetmeduni Vienna have now discovered a further new virus- LINDA- in shaking piglets on an Austrian farms.
