One of our Space Clients in Germany is looking for a LEO Configuration Manager. This is a Consultancy Support position. The role would ideally suit a contractor looking for a long term consultancy role within the space industry. The submission deadline for applicants is September 7th 2015. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Managing the documentation under configuration control according to the agreed procedures and supporting the release of relevant configuration listsreports. Act as secretary of Configuration Control Board meetings, prepare and convene the meetings, analyse the proposed engineering changes, prepare the relevant Minutes of Meeting, and notify the external entities as necessary. Follow up the change process with the related action items, to ensure timely information availability on the status of changes. Track versions of hardware and software items and documentation according to the evolution of the configured items. Verify the hardware and software configuration status by performing configuration audits. Maintain up to date the configuration management databases. Support the drafting, review and update of the Product Documentation Trees, generate and maintain the Configuration Item lists. Experience in Quality Assurance, space system project control andor process modelling of largescale systems with a very good understanding of project development life cycle methodologies would be considered, providing that adequate knowledge and involvement in Configuration Management activities is also demonstrated. You will be placed on assignment based near Frankfurt in Germany for several years. Candidates should ideally be available to start in Q4 2015.
