(Telecompaper) Netflix added 5.20 million new subscribers in the second quarter for a total 104 million at the end of June, well ahead of is outlook for growth of 2.95 million. It expects another strong quarter in Q3, with a forecast for the addition of 6.40 million new customers. The strong results led to a 10 percent jump in its share price to a new record in post-close trade.

(Telecompaper) T-Mobile US added 2.0 million new customers in the third quarter for a total of over 67 million. The number of branded postpaid phone net additions amounted to 851,000, with churn falling 14 based points from the year before to 1.32 percent. Postpaid growth under the T-Mobile brand reached 851,000 new customers in the quarter. T-Mobile also gained 684,000 prepaid users. Wholesale net customer additions were 317,000 in the quarter.

(Telecompaper) Tele2 Netherlands added 59,000 new mobile customers in the third quarter for a total 991,000. It also improved growth on the broadband market, adding 4,000 customers in the three months to reach 351,000 at the end of September. The company's revenues rose 1.0 percent year-on-year to EUR 155 million. Tele2 group wrote down the goodwill on Tele2 Netherlands by EUR 253 million due to a "reassessment of future cash flow generation".

Deutsche Telekom (Frankfurt: DTE)(NYSE:DT) has released its first quarter 2016 results report. In the first quarter of 2016 DT added 53 thousand new TV customers in Germany and 17 thousand in the rest of Europe.

Vodafone Hutchison adds 135,000 customers

Mobile operator Vodafone Hutchison Australia has reported a rise in annual earnings and revenue, luring 135,000 new customers to its network. Vodafone Hutchison - a 50/50 joint venture between Vodafone Group and Hutchison Telecommunications in Australia - booked a 5.4 per cent rise in earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation to $813 million in the year ended December 31 from a year ago.
