Candy Crush Saga on more than a fifth of Dutch smartphones

(Telecompaper) The top three smartphone gaming applications in the Netherlands are Candy Crush Saga, Wordfeud and Candy Crush Soda Saga. The app Candy Crush Saga is installed on 22 percent of Dutch smartphones, equal to almost 2.6 million users. This makes it the most popular gaming application in the country. The second and third most popular gaming applications are both installed over 1.5 million times, according to the April edition of Telecompaper's Dutch Apps Market report.

Dutch quadplay households grow to more than 700,000 in 2015

(Telecompaper) The number of Dutch households with quad-play subscriptions, including both fixed and mobile services, grew to more than 700,000 at the end of 2015, according to Telecompaper's Dutch Consumer Multiplay Market report. More than 10 percent of all broadband subscriptions were part of quad-play plans at the end of Q4 2015, up from 6.1 percent a year earlier. The greater number of quad-play subscribers is also leading to an increase in associated revenues. The 4P revenues increased to more than 15 percent of all multiplay revenues in the market, from slightly more than 9 percent a year ago.

Dutch FTTH subscribers pass 1 million

(Telecompaper) The number of FTTH subscribers in the Netherlands passed the milestone of 1 million in March, according to the Telecompaper Dutch FTTH Database. While the roll-out of FTTH networks has slowed in the past year, the number of users continues to grow, with an increase of around 200,000 in the past year. Around 900,000 households use the Reggefiber networks. Reggefiber, a subsidiary of KPN, said last month that the penetration on its network reached 40 percent at the end of 2015. Multiple operators, in addition to KPN, are active on the Reggefiber network. The other 100,000 FTTH subscribers in the Netherlands use the CIF networks or networks run by small local providers.
