Tumbling Circle railroad crossing to close

The crossing on Tumbling Circle will be closed permanently next Friday after Georgia Department of Transportation officials determined there have been too many collisions at that site involving automobiles and trains. The DOT decided on the move last year based on "multiple collisions at that site involving automobiles and trains," Hall County officials said in a statement released Friday.

Buckhead's Lindbergh Crossing sells for $6 million

An affiliate of Kajima Development recently bought Buckhead's Lindbergh Crossing shopping center for roughly $6 million, as more investment pours into the Lindbergh area. Kajima Development acquired the 6-acre shopping center, which is 100 percent occupied and includes CVS, Chase Bank, McDonald's and Kaufman Tire.

Brooks Crossing plan in Newport News moving forward

Butterfield Road will close at 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at the railroad crossing just south of Route 60 in Mundelein for a repair project. Canadian National Railway plans to improve the crossing during the six-day shutdown, Mundelein police said.

Harris Road crossing to close for three days

Harris Road in Pitt Meadows will be shut down for three days at the end of October to allow crews to repave the bumpy crossing at the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks. On Tuesday, Pitt Meadows council approved spending $259,000 for the project as the city has no choice in footing the bill.
