EADS A vacancy for a Radio Frequency RF Test System Specialist has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Portsmouth. As the successful applicant you will provide high level RF engineering skill to the AIT department and individual projects. You will support the technical aspects of RF Engineering and RF test on all projects managed by Payload AIT. You will establish, maintain and promote the Payload Test Knowledge Management System. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Main focal point for all design and development changes to existing hardware and specification of new technology requirements to meet future payload requirements Coordinating the technical, schedule and cost inputs and lead design reviews with RF equipment suppliers throughout the entire product development or procurement lifecycle Ensuring that the hardware and software solutions development is coordinated Providing Technical expertise to the acceptance and validation processes Providing Technical solution investment plans to support CAPEX forecasting Maintaining metrics of progress and produce status reports Production of Measurement Uncertainty Analysis of the test systems for operational use. This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience An Engineering graduate or equivalent Proven experience in similar industry is required Expert in RF principles, satellite technology and Payload test systems Willing to take responsibility for all AIT Test System assets Ability to work autonomously in a proactive and responsible manner RF communication engineering and measurement techniques is a plus Knowledge of automatic test systems, test system design, acceptance and validation would a strong asset. Capability of analysing requirements and realising cost efficient solutions Experience in project management of procurement, development and design projects would be a plus. WK40596, Test Method for the Analysis of Nickel Alloys by Spark Atomic Emission Spectrometry, will provide labs with guidance on using a spark emission spectrometer to set up for and properly analyze nickel alloys, which are used for jet-engine components as well as oil and gas drilling. Standard will also include detailed wavelength information that helps configure a spectrometer. Precision and bias data included in standard will serve as benchmark for labs to compare results.
