Summary A great opportunity for an experienced coordinator to join the Telespazio VEGA UK team working on site at ESTEC. Objective To provide technical coordination support for the laboratories basic services e.g. maintenance, purchasing, inventory, follow up of actions related to the technical administration and Quality Management System, preparation of investment plans, the deployment of common tools and processes, the internal and external communication and reporting in relation to the Directorates laboratories and test facilities. Responsibilities Duties The successful candidate will be expected to Organise and coordinate basic services for the operations of the technical infrastructure and support the definition of a common set of technical services for these. Coordinate the deployment of common tools and processes for the management of the technical infrastructure Provide support for common technicaladministrative tasks related to the operation of the TEC laboratories and the Test Centre Identify, and suggest resolutions for, overlapping requests in the multiyear investment plans Coordinate and centralise the actions followup related to technical infrastructure reporting, outreach and visits for the TEC departments Coordinate the management of documentation and information related to the technical infrastructure and ensure all relevant information is timely broadcasted Coordinate and facilitate the Department definition of multiyear investment plans for the technical infrastructure of the department Support the Department Head and the BCAM for the timely delivery of laboratory investment and maintenance activities, reviewing the status of progress and taking remedial actions as necessary with associated industrial counterparts Ensure the Laboratory Inventory and Fixed Asset databases are populated with all technical data Support to the ISO accreditation certification process by preparing laboratory processes. Support the Department QMS Coordinator in the implementation and maintenance of an ISO 9001 compliant Management System, under the scope of certification Interface with site services concerning site infrastructure matters. Ensure requests and supervision of installation and maintenance works in the laboratory are competed in the required time Qualifications Experience Masters degree, or equivalent, in an Engineering discipline Essential Skills Knowledge and understanding of the core business of the Agency and the TEC Directorate Demonstrable experience with business processes and tools used for the technical administration of laboratory activities Knowledge of and proven working experience with webbased collaborative platforms that integrate with Microsoft Office Proven working experience within organizations with processes managed by a QMS certification andor technical accreditations Qualities Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to gain respect across highly technical teams Strong ability to meet deadlines in a complex professional environment and under demanding circumstances A keen interest in technology innovation, the ability to collect and understand new information, plus organisational and business sensitivity are required Proven ability in interacting with internal and external business partners of an intergovernmental organization similar to ESA Experience in interacting and negotiating with internal customers and suppliers Further Details All roles within Telespazio VEGA have a defined closing date, however if a successful candidate is found before the advert expires the role will be closed early. The Software Test Engineer is responsible for verifying mission critical ground software applications that will launch and operate the worlds largest satellite constellation. This individual must be an experienced tester and will work as part of the software development and integration test team to develop test automation and migrate existing test automation into the OneWeb integration and test environment. This role also includes developing and running tests, as well as operating testing software, analyzing test results, and providing technical leadership to this arena. This individual will assume an integral role in the software development process, the integration test process, and in supporting major program milestones. The candidate will have demonstrated the ability to work with minimal supervision and have experience working in an agile team environment. The Software Test Engineer is part of the FMS Integration and Test team. Responsibilities Develop a defenseindepth test strategy for software verification and validation throughout the software development lifecycle Update, tailor and migrate existing automated test suites into the integration and test environment Develop new test automation for inhouse developed software Write test plans and test procedures Work closely with software engineers and subject matter experts to design testability into the software design Execute manual and automated software testing Document test results Perform regression tests and integration tests Support and analyze unit testing and system testing efforts Work closely with developers and production engineers to develop and operate a build and release process to reduce systemic errors Required Skills and Experience 3 years in developing test automation, using tools such as Jenkins, or Selenium or equivalent 5 years testing Java applications and web applications Experience with software test tools Experience writing test plans and procedures Demonstrated ability to work with software developers in an integrated and agile team environment Advanced Linux skills Desired Skills and Experience Experience sourcing and selecting software test tools NoSQL database experience is highly desirable Experience testing RESTful interfaces and APIs is highly desirable Experience testing Web applications is highly desirable Experience in performance testing is highly desirable Experience working in virtualized and containerized environments Space operations experience is helpful, but not required Bachelor of Science, BS in a Computer Science or Engineering related field, additional education and training through an advanced technical degree or continuous learning is highly desired No visa sponsorship is available for this position.

You would be joining us from the early stages of the facility development which gives the unique opportunity to build and lead a team of test engineers and to shape the operation of the facilities and the test campaigns from the very beginning. Your role will be to hold overall technical responsibility for agreeing the test programme from bid stage onwards through to successful delivery. With the majority of the facilities to be expected to operate to ECSSQST2007C, the Group Leader will work closely with the RAL Space Quality function to ensure compliance through the lifetime of the facilities. A key part of this important role will be engaging with the users of the facility and the wider testing community to keep abreast of the latest technical developments and then championing and driving technical developments in the facility. About You If you have dedicated experience of operating test facilities either radio frequencyantennae measurement or EMC as well as previous experience of managing and providing technical leadership to medium sized teams in this field, then we would really like to hear from you.
