Sharp differences can however been observed depending on product categories and origins, with a few countries being able to lower their export prices and others experiencing a double digit growth of unit values in dollar terms therefore depressing sales. Other origins have got very different results depending on product categories as usual, with a rise of unit values resulting in lower sales in volume terms. Our series of statistical tables offer a comprehensive comparison of volume, value and unit value changes per origin and product category in 1st quarter 2017 and 1st quarter 2018. The report also includes a detailed comparison of Chinese price trends vs other origins, through a series of indexes.
