By the end of the day the cheapest tablet came bundled with a keyboard for $479.Dell made several changes to the RT offers on its website. By Friday evening it had eliminated all the options for a standalone tablet and now only sells the product, called the XPS 10, bundled with a keyboard.

Ford Motor Co. has agreed to drop the fuel economy rating on the 2013 C-Max hybrid crossover from a combined 47 mpg to 43 mpg - a nearly 10 percent reduction - and will compensate owners for the worse-than-promised fuel economy.

USDA Drops Feedgrain Stocks, Raises Hog Prices

By Joe Vansickle USDA’s World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report for Aug. 12 projects 2013/14 U.S. feedgrain supplies to trend lower, with corn production forecast lowered 187 million bushels to 13.8 billion. The first survey-based corn yield forecast, at 154.4 bushels per acre, is down 2.1 bushels from last month’s projection. Corn stocks for 2013/14 are projected 10 million bushels lower, with a 15-million-bushel increase in 2012/13 exports only partly offset by a 5-million-bushel increase in imports. read more

Nvidia drops Tegra revenue forecast as Windows RT woes loom

Nvidia is expecting Tegra chip revenue to drop by as much as 40 percent this year, with the company indirectly blaming Microsoft's Windows RT OS for the decline. "We don't expect as much return from the investment as we had hoped," CEO Jen-Hsun Huang said on a Thursday conference call to discuss Nvidia's second-quarter financial earnings. He said the expected shortfall was related to one particular platform, and though he didn't name it, the reference to Windows RT was clear.
