The telehealth offering will provide 24/7 access to healthcare services via mobile devices. It is available for both Android and iOS in nine states and Washington, D.C.

(Telecompaper) Verizon and Motorola announced the Moto Z3 and 5G Moto Mod are coming exclusively to Verizon. The Moto Z3 is the first 5G-upgradeable smartphone, which will let end-users tap into Verizon's 5G network by snapping on the 5G Moto Mod. The Z3 will be available in the US exclusively through Verizon starting on 16 August at USD 20 a month for 24 months on Verizon's device payment plan (USD 480 retail; 0 percent APR).

(Telecompaper) Global smartphone shipments fell for the third consecutive quarter in April to June, declining 1.8 percent to 342.0 million units compared to the 348.2 million units shipped a year earlier, according to the latest report from IDC. The fall was only the fourth quarterly decline in history, attributed to churn in some highly penetrated markets, although the report said many high growth markets still exist and should return smartphone shipments to overall growth. In terms of vendors, Huawei overtook Apple during the quarter to become the second largest smartphone company in terms of market share.
