Utility crews worked Sunday to restore electricity to thousands of residents after a windstorm downed trees and knocked out power lines in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle City Light says Saturday night's winds left more than 50,000 without power, but electricity was restored to a majority of customers by Sunday.

Strong winds damaged trees and knocked out power across Western Oregon on Saturday, after the National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for the weekend. The storm is bringing strong winds from the south with gusts up to 50 or 60 miles-per-hour in the Willamette Valley.
