Better weather in January 2015 spelled a big improvement in on-time arrivals for the bigger U.S. airlines, led by ExpressJet Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines. Delta is the best performer, with 86.1 percent of its January 2015 flights arriving on time or within 14 minutes of schedule, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation.
