WLAN Controller provides enterprise-grade access control.
2015-07-21 14:31:07| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Able to manage up to 10 access points, Model WHG201 is suited for distributed site deployments and SMBs that require same degree of wireless security and performance as large enterprises. System offers automatic discovery and provisioning of APs as well as ability to automatically generate optimized settings and user access policies. Administrator can separately configure Ethernet port in single-WAN or dual-WAN operation, catering to scenarios that need WAN port failover and load balancing.

Windstream amps up special access chorus against AT&T, other ILECs
2015-07-20 19:20:37| Telecom - Topix.net
Windstream continues to assert that AT&T's plea to the FCC to block an interim plan to provide equivalently-priced IP-based last mile wholesale services, if heeded, will result in a lack of service provider choices for small to medium businesses. AT&T and fellow incumbent local exchange carriers CenturyLink and Verizon are petitioning to be allowed to raise prices on wholesale IP-based services like Ethernet, which competitive local exchange carriers like Windstream rent to deliver services to their business customers.

KPN agrees new DSL access terms with Tele2, M7
2015-07-20 08:39:00| Telecompaper Headlines
(Telecompaper) KPN announced agreements with Tele2 and M7 Group over access to its DSL network. The agreements run for seven years and cover respectively Vula (Virtual Unbundled Local Access) and WBA (Wholesale Broadband Access) services. KPN is still talking to Vodafone on a similar agreement. The new agreements are an alternative to the regulated MDF access to the passive network. The Vula service will act as KPN's reference offer to the market. The commercial agreements did not involve the regulator ACM, which left the market open to striking an agreement as part of its unbundled access decision first published last October. The wholesale agreements must still be vetted by the regulator for guarantees such as transparency and non-discrimination; KPN said it expects the regulator to clear the agreements soon. A new offer on wholesale access was needed due to KPN's introduction of vectoring and pair bonding on the DSL network. These techniques offer higher speeds, but are not compatible with the current forms of unbundled access.
AT&T knocks Windstream's request for equivalently-priced wholesale Ethernet access services
2015-07-15 20:41:24| Grocery - Topix.net
AT&T says the FCC should deny Windstream's request to impose "interim" equivalently-priced IP special access service rates for Ethernet as legacy TDM services are phased out, because the market is highly competitive and the commission would have reverse a number of existing rules. The service provider, which is in the process of migrating more of its customers to Ethernet circuits, wrote in an FCC filing that in order to alter the Ethernet rates, the regulator would have to "reverse" the forbearance it gave to telcos deploying Ethernet in 2005 while satisfying the standard of Section 205 for these services.
