Auto Sales Outlook Rises 200,000 After Strong End to 2014: Cars

An improving job market and cheap gasoline is likely to add 200,000 more car sales this year than analysts estimated just two months ago, according to a new survey. After a strong finish to 2014 -- November and December were two of the year's three best months -- most analysts surveyed by Bloomberg increased their 2015 estimates, raising the average projection to 16.9 million deliveries.

Auto sales forecast calls for a hot January

Projections call for a seasonally adjusted, annualized selling rate of 16.4 million to 16.6 million this month, up from 15.3 million a year ago. That's on pace with last year's total sales of 16.5 million.

Flynn Auto Group tops in sales in northeastern Ohio

It was another positive year for the dealerships owned by David A. Flynn, which collectively sold just under 10 percent of the total 73,627 new and used vehicles reported sold in 2014 by the Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio. This is the ninth consecutive year that the dealerships ranked first in automotive sales in northeastern Ohio.

EU auto sales up after six-year decline

Turin, January 16 - Car sales are on the rise in Europe for the first time in six years, up 5.4% in 2014 over 2013 figures, according to data reported by vehicle makers' association ACEA on Friday. ACEA reported that 13,004,451 cars were delivered in the 28 member states of the EU and 4 member states of the European Free Trade Association in 2014.
