For our activities in ESRIN, we are currently looking for a Finance and Commercial Manager on a fixed term contract with the duration of 12 months with possibilities of becoming permanent. Main responsibilities You will have overall responsibility for the financial and commercial activities of all contracts within a cluster. This includes ensuring all appropriate activity in line with the Financial Operational Manual. You will have the following specific tasks Responsibility for the finance and commercial activities undertaken across the contracts, including Reviewing month end results and commentary Plans, budgets and forecasts Interpreting results into initiatives and plans to improve future results Analysis to drive cost efficiencies and revenue generation Analysis to support the contracts in all decisions Bespoke reports for customer or regulatory requirements Ensuring all balance sheet risks and opportunities are known Proposing judgemental adjustments Requesting and approving SUN changes per the Delegated Authority Matrix. Ensuring the performance of the contract cluster exceeds the financial targets including growth, profit, cash, budgets and resource utilisation making recommendations for improvement and remedial action Building sound working relationships with the contracts operational team, by undertaking the role of business partner Building sound working relationships with the BUs finance teams, providing guidance, support and feedback Preparing a detailed timetable to ensure the contracts are able to meet reporting deadlines set by the division Supporting commercial negotiations from a finance perspective bids and rebids Ensuring all external and internal audit matters for the contracts are addressed Support to ensuring any statutory accounts across the contracts are prepared and completed within the correct timescales Undertaking adhoc projects within the contracts as required Supporting business projects Attending relevant contract management team meetings and finance team meetings Being an escalation point for contract issues Being a finance contact point for any contract queries that require resolution Travelling to contract sites, as required. Ideal candidate Requirements You should bring a professional accountant qualification unless exceptional reasons apply, at least 4 years of working experience and the following Ability to demonstrate an understanding and adoption of Sercos governing principles Experience of annual reporting and planning cycles Experience of working in a service centre environment Staff management experience Operational support experience Excellent planning and forecasting skills Excellent accounting skills Good report writing skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Good understanding of finance systems ideally SUNSAP and standardised processes Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Furthermore you should Be able to interact at all levels and with different cultures Be able to give an unremitting commitment to building sound working relationships with the operational team and the BU finance team Be able to work at a detailed level and at a more strategic level when required Be able to work in a structured and methodical manner, deadline driven Be able to influence when recommending a course of action Be able to identify business implications in complex data or information Be able to understand the business drivers that contribute to value Continually seek improved and more efficient methods of working Seek clarification by testing understanding Work well in a pressured environment Be willing and able to travel expected European travel once a month.
