ASTM standard E2987/E2987M, Terminology for Sustainable Manufacturing, will help members of ASTM's Subcommittee on Sustainable Manufacturing revise standards and develop new ones. While subcommittee E60.13 already published guide for evaluating environmental aspects of sustainability of manufacturing processes, several more proposed standards are in development on topics ranging from supply-chain sustainability to waste classification. These and other efforts will benefit from E2987.
