"Under the new pay scale, I'm looking at probably making over $60,000 a year," Walters, 40, said by telephone while waiting for a tire repair in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Inland Empire logistics sector poised for growth with cargo increases

The volume of goods coming in and out of the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles over the next 20 years is expected to double and fuel expansion of the logistics sector in the Inland Empire, according to regional economy advocates. The region is the warehousing hub for much of the goods coming in and out of the ports on route to the rest of the country, or the rest of the world, said regional economists.

FAA Proposes $132,425 Civil Penalty Against Mountain Air Cargo

FAA is proposing $132,425 civil penalty against Mountain Air Cargo (Denver, NC) for operating ATR-42 airplane while it was not in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations. Allegedly, Mountain Air Cargo mechanics improperly repaired one cargo door dent at rear of said aircraft in August 2012. FAA thereby alleges Mountain Air Cargo operated this ATR-42 aircraft on 115 flights between August 7 and October 29 in 2012 when it was not in airworthy condition.
