ResponsibilitiesDuties As part of our team, you will be tasked to implement EUMETSAT QA and all relevant applicable Standards, Technical and QA documents, Procedures and Working Practices that are applicable to the ongoing projects phase of current and future geostationary Earth Observation satellites. The tasks Within our team, we need you to ensure that the assigned MTG processes are implemented in accordance with their relevant QA working practices and procedures, by Suggest and support the founding of improvements of the available QA documentation, seeking at process efficiency and harmony Contribute to the establishment of metrics to measure the efficiency of the main processes within the assigned areas. Provide proactive suggestions for process improvement, based on these metrics and other observation Provide service to the Ground Segment Teams in order to control Quality Assurance policies and methods, which are taken into account during all involved lifecycle phases and provide dedicated QA engineering skills to the production of the technical and programmatic documents relevant to the MTG satellite, MTG Ground Segment and its facilities and single elements All other QAPA related tasks in the MTG program at EUMETSAT. QualificationsExperience You should hold a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline Engineering, Physics, Computer science, etc. combined with handson experience in QAPA procedures, definition, implementation, monitoring and control, and QAPA metrics. Furthermore, your knowledge of the QA implementation in procurement contracts for a complex product such as ground segment systems is of the highest value. You have already provided QA support to SW products throughout their complete development life cycle together with some experience in following HWSW product integration, validation and verification. Very good skills in linear algebra, in particular for problem solving related to geometry in the Euclidean 3dimensional space. Being familiar with different representations of rotation in 3D, thus including the representation of SC attitude cosine direction matrix, Euler symmetric parameters quaternions, Eulerangles ... is an asset. Very good skills in calculus in one or several variables. Skills in numerical methods for equations solving, integration of differential equations, function approximation and interpolation, optimisation, linear algebra problems. Very good skills in classical mechanics, including kinematics and dynamics of point masses, dynamics of rigid bodies, dynamics expressed in noninertial reference frames, e.g. including dynamics in rotating frames, rotation dynamics expressed in body fixed frame, conservation laws in mechanics, gravitational forces and field, orbit dynamics, keplerian orbits and Kepler laws. Ability to solve mechanics problems via analytical mechanics methods e.g. lagrangian formulation is a valuable asset. Skills to apply above knowledge to develop solutions to technical problems in cooperation with customers and other experts.
